Before a garden lesson, participants reviewed the different plant parts

Children learned about seeds before they planted them in the garden

Students help prepare the soil for planting seeds

This garden featured a variety of different vegetables which were started from seeds and seedlings

After a few weeks the garden beds filled up with growing flowers and vegetables

Students participated in hands-on activities in the garden

Students received instructions about the garden activity

A garden activity allows children to see the progress of the growing garden
