The Shaping Healthy Choices Program in Action: A Best Practices Guide provides evidence-based best practices and strategies developed through the first-hand experiences of researchers and community members involved with the implementation of the program since 2012. The program development team worked closely with UC CalFresh, school principals, teachers, food and nutrition services, and other school community partners to identify barriers and facilitators experienced during program implementation that are shared in this document.
