Every Kid Healthy Week recognizes the tremendous efforts by school professionals, nutrition educators, families, and community members that help to improve the health and wellness of students in schools. Every Kid Healthy Week focuses on fostering healthy eating and physical activity in schools so that every kid is healthy, active, and ready to learn.
You too can be a part of the movement working to ensure schools are a place kids can learn to eat right, stay active, and be successful! Health fairs, field days, fruit and vegetable tastings, and fun runs are just a few ways your school can celebrate this week! By creating events or by volunteering for events in your community, you can help make health and wellness a top priority year-round.
Also, a big thank you to the school professionals, nutrition educators, families, and community partners who partner with the Center for Nutrition in Schools to educate students on healthy eating and physical activity using the Shaping Healthy Choices Program curricula and resources!
